One of the few traditional pubs left in town I meet my brother here every few months and we always drop in here as the title says it isn't easy to find a traditional pub these days. Dropped in today 1st time after the lockdown and it seemed even better or perhaps it's just that I missed it so much 😀 I'm a veggie and I have to say the options for us on the menu are superb, the drinks are reasonably priced and the service is a full 10/10 Thanks!

Traditional Irish Pub We immediately felt welcome in this great example of an Irish pub which is acutely aware of its tradition and history. Our visit was the day before lockdown due to the coronavirus. How lucky we were.

Typisch irisch eben. Essensempfehlung: Fish and Chips!!!

One of the locals. Popped in for some lunch on Thursday afternoon, a really nice pub with a nice mixture of locals (regulars) and tourists. It’s a little off the main tourist path, so a bit of a hidden gem. I got table service as I was sure if you ordered at the bar or not, the staff seemed happy to do this. I went for the special chicken Kiev and spiced wedges, they were really really tasty, probably the best chicken Kiev I’ve ever tasted. After I ordered I noticed some regulars going up to the bar and getting there food there canteen style, which is a tip for anyone going. Food was perfect, pub was beautiful, staff were amazing. I can not fault my visit, will return next time I am in Dublin.

Traditional Family-Run Irish Pub Brannigan's was the perfect first meal in Dublin after a very long day of travel. My family and I were exhausted and hungry after checking into our hotel and found Brannigan's not far away. When we walked in, we found a traditional Irish pub complete with locals so we knew from the start we had made a good decision! Of course, my husband and I started with a couple pints of Guinness! It truly does taste different here than in the States- so much better! As for food, my husband, daughter, and myself all went with Seafood Chowder served with homemade brown soda bread. It was comforting, filling, rich, and delicious! My son always goes to the beat of his own drum and ordered the Traditional Irish Lamb Stew. He was very happy with his meal and ate every bite! Apparently, Brannigan's is a family-run pub. You kind of feel it when you walk inside. The service was great and the ambience is warm and welcoming. It was fun to hear a nearby table filled with Irish gentlemen having a lively discussion! I had a feeling this was their regular place to go. I can see why they like it here!
